One of the best kept secrets of Katmai isn’t just the amazing bear viewing opportunities, it’s the historic Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes and unsurpassed sportfishing that originally put Brooks Lodge on the map.
For all the airplane and aviation fans out there, here’s a simple mash-up of just a few minutes of the hours of Alaska aviation footage we’ve collected over the last few years.
Kodiak offers amazing and wild coastline, fishing, hunting, hiking, eating, ocean, whales… and is home to some of Alaska’s biggest brown bears! – So you tell me… is there anything Kodiak doesn’t offer?

I love this time of the year because there are so many festivities happening, and spring fever is running high – Iditarod is one event that really gets Alaska fired up! We took a break from Iditarod 2008 last year and have to say it was worth it!
Hey everyone, we had a great time visiting Fairbanks, Alaska this winter! We tried to make the most of the short time and hope you enjoy this show about getting out and enjoying the colder season of the year in Fairbanks.
This is Scott Slone, as a fifth generation Alaskan and independent outdoors filmmaker I’m proud to present our collection of ultimate Alaska travel adventures from the Last Frontier. As a small Alaskan owned production company I’m thankful for the effort, passion, and energy our entire family puts behind each production! We’re all revving up [...]
And now for something entirely off the regular beat of hikes, beautiful scenery and the Alaska travel videos. Scott and I were looking for something with a little more motorized energy and dropped by the first RallyCross event of the 2008-2009 winter season. The Arctic Alaska Region of the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) hosts several car racing events throughout the year, but in my opinion, the rally racing is by far the most fun.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus and Scott from North Pole Alaska! We were out capturing some sights and sounds of wintertime in Fairbanks Alaska and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to stop by Santa’s house before he makes his annual journey to deliver toys and goodies to all the kiddos!
When out and about in Anchorage I never turn down an opportunity to shoot sorry, I mean film wildlife. These two young Bull Moose took curiosity in what I was doing a bit more than I was prepared.
Enjoy! Scott

A few weeks ago I was invited to come see Kodiak again by Scott McMurren, this time we had much better weather conditions than our previous Kodiak adventures last year. I like to think of Kodiak as Alaska’s secret playground!
Who says an Alaska mountain guides can’t rap? Our show in Wrangell wrapped up with some rap, which is soul-felt and firmly delivered.
This second part of our trip was with St. Elias Alpine Guides, and they took me beyond my expectations and any National Park experience I’ve pursued in my life. I hope this show we produced plants a seed and gets you out there to play a little.
Alaska has a lot of National Parks, but one that truly has it all is Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, and we’re taking you in with us to explore the town of McCarthy and the Kennicott mines.
This past weekend I while producing our next two shows we shot in Kennicott and Wrangell-St.Elias, I reached a point of needing fresh air! I had the right hike in mind! Unfortunately, the Hatcher Pass road over to Summit Lake was still closed, which is usually open early June.

This event is truly a unique experience for the pilots and fans of bush flying and real Alaska aviation. Pilots fly in from all around the country, pitch a tent under their wings and spend a weekend enjoying beach landings, flour bombing and STOL competitions. If you’re into flying at all, this is a must see event!
WOW WHAT A TRIP!
Still lots of snow on the mountains, but spring is moving in quickly and making up for a late start. Anxious for summer to get here, we hit the road and drove from Anchorage to Valdez, then took the Alaska Marine Highway back home.
Before I go any further… Let me say I’ve [...]
Hey Everybody!
Had a great day in Seward exploring Resurrection Bay for Whales and other marine life with Renown Tours.
There’s a unwritten rule in Alaska – Sunshine equates to a slow day with marine wildlife, heck even fishing falls into that rule. Cloudy or rainy days in my experience often offer greater opportunities! [...]
This was a different show than we usually shoot, and while producing it was a challenge and learning experience – IT WAS A BLAST!
So why this show exactly?
In short I love the vibe, smell, and taste of coffee. Locally, I’ve always been a big Kaladi Coffee drinker from the beginning, and consumer evangelist for [...]
Spring is here and we’re all ready to get out and do some hiking!
There’s still a bit of snow on the ground, but with all the spring sunshine it’ll be gone in a flash. To get in shape, get some elevation under your belt, and finally get some good color on that pasty white [...]
Welcome to the first edition of the SanitySaver here on Alaska HDTV (then Alaska Podshow)!
The “SanitySaver” is our moving portrait of Alaska, which we have set to release twice per month. I think it was KAKM (a local station), when I was a kid that would come on the air each morning and feature photos [...]

What an amazing Alaska HDTV show!
This had to be one of the best adventures I’ve taken, and Juneau is an incredible place. Since 1906 this has been the Capital of Alaska, so the history and culture is rich in Juneau – Sharing this part of Alaska was tops when Governor Sarah Palin joined us on [...]
We visit one of Alaska’s most viewed glaciers located just 50 minutes outside of Anchorage, Alaska. A popular summertime destination, but winter offers an amazing experience!
We get out for a local hike just above Eagle River, Alaska at Mt. Baldy. This local mountain is a favorite for day hikes throughout the summer, but we thought we’d give it a try while there was still a little snow on the ground.
