The Main Menu is pretty self explanatory, but in case you are wondering where all the videos have gone – try clicking on THE SHOWS and go from there! You can also find behind the scenes updates, news and random news from Alaska in our BLOG.

Our Show slider gives you a preview image from the most recent show from each category (Hikes, Adventures, SanitySavers and Events). To watch the video and read more about each show, simply click on the big picture. We may use the slider from time to time to promote events, activities or other important news. The slider will automatically rotate, but you can manually move back and forth using the arrows on the left and right side of the big image.

The “Connections” area is a combination of tools and resources designed to make it easier for you to stay up to date with the latest shows and news from Alaska HDTV. The local consensus is that the Alaska travel industry is going to be met with doom and gloom as the bookings for cruises and traditional tours are down as much as 40% from last year. Not that we are travel experts per se, but we believe that independent travelers are still going to come to Alaska in the foreseeable future and that’s exactly who we cater to with our Alaska HDTV podcast.

Our goal with Alaska HDTV has always been to evangelize Alaska and share local businesses from around the state with our global audience. We hope you (our viewers) enjoy the shows and look forward to another great year of Alaska travel adventures in 2009!
