Make time for you!
Lately I’ve been really busy, literally two weeks of full days in front of my monitor. During these hard stretches I become more restless, less focused, and stress begins reveal itself in the form of headaches. Yesterday I took a step back and did some math. I figured for all the micro-breaks I give myself, I could simply afford to start out my day a differently by making time for Me!
This morning I dropped my Son off at school, cranked up the tunes and drove down to the Turnagain Arm to capture sunrise. It didn’t matter if there was anything photo worthy, I was simply going out to take in fresh mountain air and witness nature. This is going to become a ritual, because outside is where I find my center and inspiration, which in turns make a happier and healthier Me – Especially in these darker Alaska winter months.
MAKE TIME FOR YOU!
I challenge you to look at your day, figure out your time, and make it happen!
A healthy mind is a creative mind. Photography can be a great way break the flow of frenetic activity at work, and will preserve the creative cognitive processing required to propel you through the day. So, grab any camera you have access give yourself 5 minutes, 30 minutes or even an 1 hour of your day for creativity. Make it fun by capture the immediate world around you, or explore your surroundings in a way like you’ve never done before and DON’T FORGET TO SHARE!
This is going to become my new ritual, what about you?
Fortunately I was graced with an amazing sunrise, which in representation of this blog post I title “Rise of the Turn”.
#Photography is #creativity that makes a #healthymind for a more #productive and #happyyou !
