Welcome to Alaska HDTV’s new website! We hope you enjoy the new layout and more simple organization. As with any move, some things may get lost in translation or intentionally removed from the old site. Our goal was to freshen the look and reduce the clutter – we hope you’ll agree this site is much cleaner! Scroll down to check out the quick overview of the new Home page design.

Overview of the Home page

The Main Menu is pretty self explanatory, but in case you are wondering where all the videos have gone – try clicking on THE SHOWS and go from there! You can also find behind the scenes updates, news and random news from Alaska in our BLOG.

Our Show slider gives you a preview image from the most recent show from each category (Hikes, Adventures, SanitySavers and Events). To watch the video and read more about each show, simply click on the big picture. We may use the slider from time to time to promote events, activities or other important news. The slider will automatically rotate, but you can manually move back and forth using the arrows on the left and right side of the big image.

The “Connections” area is a combination of tools and resources designed to make it easier for you to stay up to date with the latest shows and news from Alaska HDTV. (Left) You can follow our updates on Twitter. (Center) Subscribe to the video feed with the Miro player, Apple iTunes or any other RSS reader via our Feedburner links. (Right) Subscribe to our email newsletter for occasional updates and news from Alaska.

In the Special news area, you’ll find the latest promotions, updates and news about what we’re doing here at Alaska HDTV. When we launched the site, you can see we are promoting a free trip to Alaska from Alaska Airlines and Princess Lodges and announcing the May 16th special event at the Alaska Wildberry Theater. Be sure to scroll down from time to time, you never know what we may be giving away!
