Anchorage Christmas Lights for Kids
Alaska HDTV went out to capture in video, a home in Anchorage with some great Christmas lights. We wanted to share with you “Lights for Kids” which is a project by a local man in Anchorage, Alaska to collect toys to help children at AWAIC.
About Lights for Kids
Lights for Kids began in 2007 as a way to brighten the lives of local children. In 2007 we ran about 15,000 lights and 48 channels programmed to holiday music. We use a FM transmitter to broadcast our music that goes with our lights. This year, we’re running almost 30,000 lights and a total of 96 channels. We are again accepting donations of unwrapped toys, non-perishable food items and new/gently used winter clothing for the local AWAIC (Abused Womens Aid in Crisis) shelter. – From the Mason Home in Anchorage.
