Alyeska Resort Hiking for Kids

Production note: This was filmed in the fall of 2008 while Scott was rolling tape on a hike with his son. We thought this would be a fun and inspiring way to get everyone in the spirit of summer hiking!

Summer is just around the corner, and spring is a great time to begin planning your summer hikes and adventures! Join Scott and his Son Coleson as they introduce hiking at Mount Alyeska located in Girdwood, Alaska. Mt. Alyeska is a popular local mountain offering great summer hikes for everyone at any level. We took the Tram from the Alyeska Prince Hotel and began our hike from the historic resort Roundhouse.

Scott! I just took the chance to look at your website here, and came across this video of you and your adventurous son, Coleson! Now this was awesome! I love to see kids involved in nature one way or another – and your son did a magnificent job! :) Keep the cameras rolling … I look forward to seeing more beautiful videography and read more stories on your adventures in Alaska, which I must say that I am still in AWE! Take care my friend, and talk to you soon! :)

    Jena!

Thanks much! :D Kids out in nature, it’s one of the best teaching tools and he drinks it up. I’d not watched this for a long time, and have to say I got a good laugh. I’m planning on doing a few shows with him this summer, really a big spirit in that kid!

    Thanks for the compliments!
    Cheers,
    Scott
